Soneium
Sony’s entertainment and fandom L2.
Soneium is the OP Stack L2 opened in January 2025 by Sony Block Solutions Labs, a venture of Sony Group and Startale.
It aims to bring entertainment — games, music, video — and fan communities on-chain. Fees are paid in ETH.
Soneium was created to connect Sony Group’s global entertainment footprint—spanning games, music, film, and anime—with Web3 infrastructure. It provides a home where creators and fans can issue, own, and trade digital collectibles, event tickets, and community memberships on-chain.
Because it serves mainstream consumer IP, Soneium emphasizes intellectual-property protection and compliance tooling alongside standard OP Stack compatibility, allowing global brands to launch on-chain experiences while settling to Ethereum.
