Ink
An L2 run by the Kraken exchange, aiming to bring exchange liquidity on-chain.
Ink is the OP Stack L2 opened by the exchange Kraken in December 2024. Its aim is to be the bridge that brings exchange users into on-chain DeFi.
It is part of the Superchain and, after adopting permissionless fault proofs in 2025, is rated Stage 1. Fees are paid in ETH.
Built by the global crypto exchange Kraken, Ink is designed to onboard exchange users and institutional liquidity into on-chain DeFi with minimal friction. Tight integration with Kraken’s fiat and custody rails removes many of the manual bridging steps that traditionally deter mainstream users.
Technically, Ink adheres strictly to the Superchain standard and rapidly deployed permissionless fault proofs to reach Stage 1 on L2BEAT. Its ecosystem centers on battle-tested lending markets, yield-bearing assets, and deep liquidity pools.
