Mantle
Bybit-affiliated L2. It adopted zero-knowledge proofs (OP Succinct) in 2025 and, since April 2026, posts all its data to Ethereum blobs — a ZK rollup.
Mantle grew out of BitDAO and opened its mainnet in July 2023. It is close to the exchange Bybit and is known for its large treasury.
It began as an optimistic chain that kept its data outside Ethereum, on EigenDA. In September 2025 it adopted OP Succinct, so its state is now verified with zero-knowledge proofs, and since April 2026 all its data goes to Ethereum blobs — it is now classed as a ZK rollup. Fees are paid in its own token, MNT.
Backed by one of the largest community treasuries in crypto, Mantle has incubated major ecosystem assets including the mETH liquid staking protocol and FBTC. Treasury yields are actively deployed to bootstrap liquidity and applications across the network.
Technically, Mantle exemplifies modular evolution: starting as an OP Stack optimium, it upgraded to OP Succinct zero-knowledge validity proofs in September 2025 and transitioned its data availability to Ethereum blobs in April 2026, completing its transformation into a full ZK rollup.
