Dogecoin was created in December 2013 by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer as a parody of the coin craze of the time, with the Shiba Inu “Doge” as its face. It uses Litecoin-family technology, makes a block every minute and is mined together with Litecoin (merged mining).
It has no supply cap: five billion new coins are added every year. The original meme coin, it forms a city of a single DOGE building on this map.
