ZKsync Era is a ZK rollup built by Matter Labs, opened in March 2023. Each batch comes with a mathematical proof (a zero-knowledge proof) that it was computed correctly, so results are final once the proof is verified on Ethereum, without waiting out a challenge window.
It aims to join many chains built with the same technology (the ZK Stack) into one network. Fees are paid in ETH; ZK, launched in June 2024, is the governance token. In this map it is a capital-region city.
