Robinhood Chain is the L2 that the US stock and crypto trading app Robinhood built with Arbitrum’s Orbit technology. It was announced in June 2025 and its mainnet opened in July 2026.
Its aim is to trade real-world assets on-chain, such as tokenised stocks and ETFs. Fees are paid in ETH; in this map it is a capital-region city where tokens first issued on this chain stand.

Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum scaling network (L2) that the US brokerage Robinhood built on Arbitrum technology; its mainnet launched on 1 July 2026. It targets tokenized stocks and other real-world assets, but meme coins drove much of its early activity.
A broker’s own Ethereum scaling chain
Robinhood Chain comes from Robinhood Markets, the company behind the trading app. At an event in Cannes on 30 June 2025 it launched stock tokens (tokens that track US shares and ETFs) for European customers and announced its own chain to host them. According to an ArbitrumDAO factsheet, Offchain Labs, the developer of Arbitrum, built the chain.
On the Crypto Nation map, Robinhood Chain is drawn as a city of its own, where coins first issued on this chain gather. The chain opened only recently, so few residents live there yet; one example is PONS, the token of the Pons meme-coin launchpad.
A Layer 2 that settles on Ethereum
Robinhood Chain is a Layer 2 (L2): a network that processes transactions quickly on its own and records the results on Ethereum. It uses Arbitrum technology, so developers can deploy Ethereum-style smart contracts almost unchanged, and fees are paid in ether (ETH). ‘Preconfirmations’ aim to make transactions feel nearly instant.
Under Arbitrum’s expansion licence, the chain pays part of its net revenue to ArbitrumDAO, the factsheet says. At launch it offered stock tokens held in a self-custody wallet and tradable around the clock, a Uniswap-based trading market, lending through Morpho, and liquidity in USDG, a dollar stablecoin issued by Paxos.
Where it is used, and key dates
The stated goal is to trade stock tokens and other real-world assets (RWA) on a blockchain. In practice, early on-chain activity was led by meme coins (coins born from jokes or internet trends), with CashCat as a flagship, and by several launchpads, platforms where anyone picks a name and image to create a token.
Key dates: stock tokens for European customers in June 2025, a public testnet around February 2026 and mainnet on 1 July 2026. In July the launchpad Noxa stopped accepting new launches, and in August Uniswap opened a zero-fee launchpad, Pools.trade.
Things to know
A stock token is a financial product that tracks a share price, not direct ownership of the share, and shareholder rights depend on the product terms. In July 2025 OpenAI said Robinhood’s ‘OpenAI tokens’ were not OpenAI equity and that it had not approved them. Rules for tokenized securities differ by country, so availability and structure may change.
Being company-built, the chain’s operations and policies may depend heavily on Robinhood, and, as on many L2s, a few operators ordering transactions raises censorship and outage concerns. Early activity was speculative and thinly traded, and rival launchpads cutting fees can quickly shift trading.
