Zebec Network (ZBCN): Streaming Pay by the Second on Solana

Payroll and card payments, with ZBC becoming ZBCN in 2024

Zebec began with ‘streaming payments’, sending money gradually over time instead of all at once, and widened into payroll and card payments on Solana. ZBCN is the network’s token, which replaced the older ZBC token in 2024.

1. What it is and who built it

Zebec started in 2021 and promotes ‘streaming finance’, in which money such as pay or investment funds flows in real time, second by second. Instead of one monthly paycheck, earnings build up with the time worked and can be spent at once. The company says it has been backed by investors including Circle, Coinbase and Solana Ventures.

In 2024 it renamed the business Zebec Network, swapped its token from ZBC to ZBCN and moved its DAO governance to Solana. On the Crypto Nation map, ZBCN stands in Solana City, because it was first issued on Solana. Its maximum supply is reported as 100 billion.

2. How streaming pay and the card connect

In the company’s description, an employer puts funds into a smart contract (a blockchain program that runs by itself when conditions are met) that releases them to staff every second under set rules. Employees can spend the accrued money through the Zebec Card, a Mastercard-powered card that works wherever Mastercard is accepted. The card links to a Solana-based wallet and app.

ZBCN is the central token: staking it in the app is said to unlock tiered perks such as card cash-back and lower service fees. Part of card and payroll fee revenue is also said to fund a programme that buys ZBCN on the market and burns it.

3. Uses and milestones

The card first launched in 2023 in the UK and some European countries. In 2024 the company added Zebec AI (ZAI), a payment layer, and ZePin, a US pilot of retail payments built on DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure), and said ZBCN was listed on more than 17 centralized exchanges.

It says it belongs to Nacha’s Payments Innovation Alliance, the body behind the US ACH transfer network. A final unlock of early-investor and team tokens was scheduled for March 2026, after which most of the supply was said to be circulating. Products include cards, payroll, DePIN payments and a SuperApp in early access.

4. Things to know

As a payments and payroll service, it is heavily affected by money-transmission and payments rules in each country. Card issuing and merchant payments depend on card networks and issuing partners, and a change there could change the service. Tax and labour-law treatment of crypto pay also differs by country, and pay held in a smart contract carries contract-bug and hacking risk.

ZBCN has a very large supply and a low price per token, so tiny price moves can look dramatic, and once the early unlocks end its value depends more on real use and new demand. Usage, buybacks and burns should be checked separately, and many sources are promotional posts by the company and exchanges.
